Betty C. Griffeth

Mrs. Betty C. Griffeth, age 80, of Winder, Georgia died October 28, 2012. Mrs. Griffeth was born in Jackson County to the late Henry Lee, Sr. and Lula Elizabeth Walden Canup. She was preceded by her first husband, Joel Hardigree and her second husband, Jim Griffeth, Jr., and siblings, Henry Canup, Jr., Woodrow Canup, James Canup, Ralph Canup, Bertie Bell and Jessie Lee Canup. Mrs. Griffeth was a retiree of The Barrow County Department of Health, where she served as an administrative assistant and was a member of The Winder First Christian Church.
Surviving are Daughter & Son-in-law, Debi & Tommy Jordan of Winder, Grandchildren, Mark Mitchell, Matt & Amanda Mitchell, Great Grandchild, Adalyn Grace Mitchell, Step Daughter, Alison Brus of Monroe, Step Sons, Jimmy Griffeth of Winder and Steve Griffeth of Roswell, Brothers, Clyde Canup, Mack Canup, Donnie Canup all of Winder, Sisters, Latrell White of Bethlehem, Lanell Etheridge and Ann Hawkins both of Winder.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 A. M., Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at the Winder First Christian Church with Rev. Jim Brooks officiating. Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. The Family will receive friends Tuesday October 30, 2012 from 6-9 P. M. at Carter Funeral Home. Flowers are welcomed or memorials may be made to St. Mary's Hospice, P. O.
