Mrs. Betty Presley Stafford, age 86, of Winder, Georgia died January 1, 2015. A lifelong resident of Barrow County, she was the daughter of the late George T. and Lottie Pannell Presley. She was preceded by her husband, Mr. D. E. "Ed" Stafford in 2001. Mrs. Stafford owned and operated Betty's Variety Shop in Winder for many years. Mrs. Stafford was a member of the Winder 1st United Methodist Church, her membership was the longest of any current member.
Surviving are, Children, Pat and Harris Hardegree, and Eddie and Diane Stafford all of Winder, Grandchildren, Kristen Romanowski, Travis Hardegree, Jarett Stafford, Justin Stafford and Cassie Dalton, and four Great Grandchildren.
A Funeral Service will be held Sunday, January 4, 2015 at 3:00 P. M. from the Chapel of Carter Funeral Home with Rev. Phil Carpenter officiating. The Family will receive friends Saturday, January 3, 2015 from 5-8 P. M. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Barrow Memorial Gardens.
