Donald Earl Ashley

Mr. Donald Earl Ashley, age 83, of Jefferson, Georgia, formerly of Winder died September 17, 2014 at his residence. A native of Vicksburg, Mississippi, he was a son of the late J. C. and Ida Earl Ashley. He was the widower of Elease Smith Ashley. Mr. Ashley served in the U. S. Navy for four years and retired from the U. S. Army after twenty years of service. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict and the Viet Nam War. Mr. Ashley served as a law enforcement officer with The City of Winder and The Barrow County Sheriff's Department.
Surviving are Son and Daughter-in-law, Donald and Mary Ashley of Camilla, Georgia, Sister, Louise Byrd of Brookhaven, Mississippi, Grandchildren, Pam Taylor, Justin Ashley, Harley Ashley, Sasha Ashley and Debra Forsberg, and Five Great Grandchildren.
A private Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
