Mrs. Elaine Ouzts Summerour, age 92, of Winder, Georgia passed away December 18, 2015. Mrs. Summerour was preceded by her husband, J. H. "Benny" Summerour, parents, J. Guy and Rosa Roberts Ouzts, and sister, Colleen Williams. Mrs. Summerour was a member of The Winder Noon Lions Club, The Barrow County Chamber of Commerce, The Barrow County Historical Society and The Winder First United Methodist Church. She had served at Piedmont Regional Library as a librarian.
Surviving are, Sons and Daughters-in-law, Jimmy and Judy Griffeth of Winder, Steve and Linda Griffeth of Roswell, Daughter and Son-in-law, Alison and John Bruss of Monroe, Brother, Buddy Ouzts of Winder, Grandchildren, Stephanie Griffeth of Rutledge, Stacey Bryant of Winder, Garrett Griffeth of Denton, Texas, Ginger James of Marietta, and David Lewis of Cumming, Great Grandchildren, Savannah Leigh Richardson of Winder, Lydia James and Vincent James both of Marietta, Millie Bryant and Griffeth Bryant both of Winder, Raelynn Griffeth of Denton Texas, Hudson Lewis and Della Grace Lewis both of Cumming, Step-daughters, Tina Smith and Terry Rice both of Winder.
A Memorial Graveside Service will be held Monday, December 21, 2015 at 3:00 P. M. at Rose Hill Cemetery with Rev. Terry Tippens officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Winder First United Methodist Church Library Fund, 280 North Broad Street, Winder, Georgia 30680 or The Winder Noon Lion's Club, P. O. Box 514, Winder, Georgia 30680.
