Mrs. June Evans, age 87, of Winder, Georgia passed away February 18, 2015. Born in Moulton, Alabama, she was a daughter of the late Joe and Birdie Ethel Corum Putnam. A resident of Winder since 1976, she was the widow of Rev. Henry Evans. She was preceded by a daughter, Tina Victoria Evans. Mrs. Evans was a member of Morningside Baptist Church and was a homemaker.
Surviving are Son and Daughter-in-law, James E. and Patty Evans of Voluntown, Connecticut, Daughter, Shelia Smith of Winder, Four Grandchildren, Six Great
Grandchildren and One Great Great Grandson, Two Sisters, Birdie Jo Paxton and Betty Lou Shiflett both of Lindale, Georgia.
A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 P. M. Saturday, February 21, 2015 at the East View Cemetery in Rome, Georgia with Rev. Dennis Shaw officiating. The family will receive friends Friday, February 20, 2015 from 6-9 P. M. at the funeral home. Flowers are welcomed or memorials may be made to Morningside Baptist Church, 580 Miles Patrick Road, Winder, Georgia 30680.
