Mr. Frank Augustus Whorton, age 72, of Winder, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 11, 2024 at his residence.
Mr. Whorton retired as a construction superintendent with Choate Construction in 2019 after twenty years of dedicated service. He loved Mexican food, margaritas and Auburn Football, WAR EAGLE!
Mr. Whorton was preceded in death by his parents, Augustus Dean Whorton and Mary Crocker Whorton; and siblings, Nancy Washburn and Catherine Davis.
Mr. Whorton is survived by his son, Matthew Frank (Nichole) Whorton of Winder; siblings, Elizabeth McGukin and Mary Dean Shelton both of Alabama; and two grandchildren, Hailey and Piper Whorton both of Winder.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 6th at 2pm at the First Baptist Church of Dadeville, 178 S. Tallassee St. Dadeville, AL 36853
In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to consider making a memorial contribution to Camp Lookout, a ministry of Holston Conference of the United Methodist Church.
