George "Top-Notch" Germain of Winder, Georgia, passed away suddenly at home on June 3rd 2014. He is survived by his wife, Luella M. Germain; three children, Larry, Rick, and Twyla; daughter-in-law Lois; grandchildren, Jasmine, Zachary, Ana, Jiji, John, David and Melody; 20 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Born June 18, 1925 in Bay City, Michigan, he served active duty in the Navy in World War II. He then pursued a Master's Degree in Psychology, and became a successful businessman and worldwide teacher and management consultant for industrial safety.
Mr. Germain was active in the Georgia Piedmont Arts Center, the Barrow County community theater, Brenau College extension classes (BULLI), was a volunteer at Lanier Tech for English as a Second Language, and CONTACT – a telephone outreach for shut-ins – for upwards of 25 years. He will be missed by many.
There will be a memorial service and celebration of Mr. Germain's "top-notch" life on Wednesday, June 18th from 6-8 PM at the First Presbyterian Church, 239 W. Candler St. Winder, GA. All who knew him or the family are welcome to attend.
