Mr. Guy S. Edge, age 98, of Winder, Georgia passed away March 14, 2013 at his residence following an extended illness. A son of the late Bartow and Catherine McEver Edge, he was a native of Jackson County. Mr. Edge served in the U. S. Army during World War II, in the European Theatre of Operations. He was a retiree of Pet Milk. Mr. Edge was a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, where he had served as a deacon.
Surviving are Wife, Mildred Cronic Edge. Children, Danny Edge, Ronnie Edge, Shelia Nabors and Judy Payne all of Winder, Joy Cope of Gainesville, Faye Ropski and Wanda Braselton both of Winder, Eleven Grandchildren and Three Great Grandchildren.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 P. M., Saturday, March 16, 2013 from the Chapel of Carter Funeral Home. The Family will receive friends Friday from 6-9 P. M. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Mt. Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery with military honors.
