Herbert Wayne Hopper (aka Herb, Herbie, and Paps) passed away December 23, 2022, peacefully
surrounded by his family after 60 wonderful years of life. He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years,
Terri Hopper of Auburn, GA, three beloved daughters Amanda White (Dave) of Denver, CO; Katrina
Hendricks (James) of Winder, GA; Teresa Campbell (Jimmy) of Speedwell, TN; eight grandchildren, four
great grandchildren; two brothers Joel and Vince Hopper of Speedwell, TN; father-in-law Frank Sullivan
of Auburn, GA; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and many loving friends. He is preceded in death
by his parents, Kubil and Virginia Hopper of Speedwell, TN.; his mother-in-law, Lois Sullivan of
Zephyrhills, FL.
Herb was born in Tazwell, TN on July 22, 1962. He has been a resident of Auburn, GA for the past 34
years and retired from Atlanta Gas Light after 33 years of service. In 1992 he married the love of his life,
Terri, and became a father to three girls. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved watching the
Tennessee Volunteers play football and spending time with his grandsons. He was a faithful member of
Winder Church of Christ and loved the Lord dearly.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
