Mr. James Thomas Brooks, age 75, of Winder, Georgia died January 6, 2014. A native of Loganville, Georgia, he was the son of the late Ellis and Ruth Garrett Brooks. He was a retiree of General Motors, where he served in the parts division at the Doraville Plant and was the owner of West Barrow Auction. Mr. Brooks attended Duncan Creek Congregational Church.
Surviving are Wife, Pat Brooks, Children, Pam and Kem Allen, Greg and Jodi Phillips, Jim Brooks, Randy Brooks and Scott Brooks and several Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 P. M., Friday, January 10, 2014 from the Chapel of Carter Funeral Home with Rev. Everest Carlyle and Rev. Dee Dillin officiating. The Family will receive friends Thursday, January 9, 2014 from 1-3 P. M. and from 6-8 P. M. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Duncan Creek Congregational Church Cemetery.
