Mrs. Jeanette Clark Covington, age 90, of Monroe, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at her residence.
Mrs. Covington was a faithful member of Cross Pointe Church in Duluth where she took great pride in counting the church’s offering every Monday morning as her act of service. Jeanette was a generous soul that loved others above herself and would uplift anyone she encountered. Mrs. Covington will be best remembered as a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother.
Mrs. Covington was preceded in death by the love of her life, David Covington; her parents, William Major Clark and Florine Vickers Clark; brothers, Billy Clark and Ronald Clark; and her beloved Maltese, Lola.
Mrs. Covington is survived by her son, David Covington of Monroe; daughter, Connie (Scot) Brands of Marietta; and grandchildren, Caitlin, Jordan, and A.J. Brands.
The funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Jeanette Covington will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 19, 2024 in the Chapel of Carter Funeral Home with Rev. John Burchfield officiating and Pastor James Merritt delivering the eulogy. Burial will follow the service at Barrow Memorial Gardens. The family will be receiving friends on Friday, October 18, 2024 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Carter Funeral Home.
