Mr. Jimmy Roy Clanton, age 66, of Statham, passed away on Monday, August 12, 2024.
Mr. Clanton was devoted to his Christian faith. He served as a missionary pastor and as the Dean of a Bible college. Jimmy loved taking care of people and devoted time as a mentor to many throughout the years. He retired from Century Fire Protection in Duluth and was the owner of Trinity Three-n-One Solutions. Jimmy will be remembered best by his family as a loving husband, son, father, and Papa. He was a member of The Pointe Church.
Mr. Clanton was preceded in death by his father, James William Lail.
Mr. Clanton is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Deborah McDaniel Clanton of Statham; son, Jeremi (Juana) Clanton of Winder; daughter, Priscilla Clanton (Matthew) Gerard of Hoschton; mother, Faye King Lail of Statham; brother, Kenny (Juanita) Clanton of Statham; grandchildren, Zeke Clanton, Alexis Gerard, Eli Clanton, Austin Gerard, Elliot Clanton, Ashlyn Gerard, Emilia Clanton, and soon-to-be Esther Clanton; and nephews, Shane and Sam Clanton.
The funeral service to honor and celebrate the life of Mr. Jimmy Clanton will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Carter Funeral Home with Mr. Jeremi Clanton and Mr. Matthew Gerard officiating. The family will be receiving friends on Saturday from 12:00 PM until the service hour at Carter Funeral Home. A private burial will be held in Barrow Memorial Gardens.
Flowers are accepted for the funeral service of Mr. Clanton.
