Mr. Joe Chancey, age 61, of Bethlehem, Georgia died October 9, 2014. A native and lifelong resident of Barrow County, he was the son of the late Bush and Annie Sturdivant Chancey. Mr. Chancey was a 1971 graduate of Winder-Barrow High School and was employed by the Barrow County Board of Education Maintenance Department. He was a member of The Winder Christian Church.
Surviving are Wife, Margaret Hughes Chancey, of Bethlehem, Sons, Michael (Melinda) Chancey of Bethlehem, and Mark (Casey) Chancey of Statham, Five Grandchildren, Two Great Grandchildren, and Sister, Brenda Lee of Commerce.
A Funeral Service will be held Sunday, October 12, 2014 at 2:30 P. M. from the Chapel of Carter Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Morris officiating. Interment will be in Carter Hill Christian Church Cemetery. The Family will receive friends Saturday, October 11, 2014 from 5-8 P. M. at the funeral home.
