John E. Bowen

Mr. John E. Bowen, age 63, Of Winder, Georgia passed away December 12, 2013. Born in Hall County, he was a son of the late Earl and Ruth Morrison Bowen. He was preceded by his wife, Martha Wilson Bowen and children, Sharon Ruppel and Marshall Bowen. Mr., Bowen was a 1968 Graduate of Winder-Barrow High School as received a B. S. degree in Industrial Management from Georgia Tech. He was the former manager of Hill's Ace Hardware & Lumber Center. Mr. Bowen was a member of the Winder First United Methodist Church and had attended Hebron Baptist Church.

Surviving are Daughter & Son-in-law, Jennifer & Chris Antonakos of Cumming, Grandchildren, Marti Antonakos and Sam Antonakos both of Cumming, Siblings and In-laws, Gloria & Dan Drawdy of Blackshear, Edward & Carol Bowen of Dewey Rose, Joe & Debra Bowen of Atlanta, Bobby & Connie Bowen of Winterville.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:30 P. M., Sunday, December 15, 2013 from the Winder First United Methodist Church with Rev. Larry Rary officiating. Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. The Family will receive friends Saturday, December 14, 2013 from 5-8 P. M. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to The First Baptist Church of Cumming, Greater Things Campaign, 1597 Sawnee Drive, Cumming, Georgia 30040.
