Larry Wayne Cronic, a dedicated family man and steadfast member of his community, passed away peacefully on June 13, 2026, at his residence in Winder, Georgia. Born on November 4, 1956, in Winder, Larry’s life was deeply rooted in the place he called home.
A proud high school graduate of Winder Barrow, Larry was known for his strong work ethic, which he exhibited throughout his career working for Dolco Packaging in Lawrenceville, Georgia. Beyond his professional life, Larry was a man of many talents and interests. He was a hardworking farmer who cut pulpwood, embodying a spirit of diligence and resilience. Larry was also a devoted member of Sharon Baptist Church, where his faith was a cornerstone of his daily life. He had a profound devotion to reading the Bible, which nourished his soul and guided him throughout his life's journey.
Larry was a loving husband to Mary Ann Cronic and a proud father to his children Ashley Hoge & Wesley and Wesley Cronic. He cherished his role as a grandfather to Sarah Rey Hoge and Luke Hoge, finding immense joy in their lives. Family was central to Larry’s life, and he took great pride in his relationships with his brother Paul Cronic and Susan, as well as his nephews Duane Cronic & Blair, and Michael Cronic. The legacy of love extended to his great-nephews Seth, Daxton, and Blaine Cronic, who will carry forward his memory.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents William Clifford Cronic and Edith Viola Gaddis.
Services to honor Larry’s life will be held at the Maddox Memorial Home located at 265 Highway 211 NW, Winder, Georgia. A visitation will take place on June 16, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The funeral service will follow on June 17, 2026, starting at 2:00 PM at Maddox Memorial Home.
