Leonard Cornelious Stewart

Mr. Leonard Cornelious Stewart, age 92, of Auburn, Georgia passed away May 10, 2024 surrounded by his family. Has preceded in death by his wife, Margie Welch Stewart, parents, Ralph and Gladys Dalton Stewart and brother, Eugene Stewart. Mr. Stewart had resided in Barrow County for most of his life and was a member of Bethabra Baptist Church. He was a U. S. Air Force Veteran and was a retired agent with CSX Transportation System. Mr. Stewart was an avid fan of Georgia Tech Football.

Surviving are Children, Sharon and Ronney Hulsey of Auburn, Georgia, Gena and Mitch Johnson of Winder, Georgia, Phyllis Marjorie Stewart, Amy “Stu” and Heather Stewart all of Auburn, Georgia, Eight Grandchildren, Eleven Great Grandchildren and brother, James Edwin Stewart of Florida.

The Family will receive friends Sunday, May 12, 2024 from 2:00 P. M. until 4:00 P. M. at the funeral home. A Funeral Service will begin at 4:00 P. M. from the Chapel of Carter Funeral Home with Pastor Terry Hawkins officiating. Interment will be in the Bethabra Baptist Church Cemetery.
