Mr. Loyd H. Puckett, age 85, of Winder, died November 5, 2011. A Jackson County native, he was a son of the late Ross and Ethel Brock Puckett. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Smith Puckett on November 16, 2010. Mr. Puckett was a retired carpenter and was a U. S. Army Veteran.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11 A. M., Tuesday, November 8, 2011 from the Chapel of Carter Funeral Home with Rev. Kevin Burgess officiating. Interment will be in the Smith Cemetery. The Family will receive friends, Monday, November 7, 2011 from 4-8 P. M. at the funeral home.
Surviving are Children, Barbara Holmes of Mobile, Alabama, Elaine Webb, Joy & Eddie Lee, Donald & Tammy Puckett, Mary & Robert Stradley all of Winder, Ten Grandchildren, Fourteen Great Grandchildren, Sister, Sally Jo Boyd of Winder, Brothers, Robert Puckett & Herbert Puckett both of Hoschton, James Puckett & Windell Puckett both of Auburn.
