Mrs. Martha E. Downing, age 81, of Auburn, Georgia passed away October 20, 2015 at Peachtree Christian Hospice in Duluth, Georgia. A native of New Jersey, she was a daughter of the late Ethan and Nancy Royce Allen. Mrs. Downing and her husband, Harry C. Downing, Sr., were the former owners of Dry Creek Ranch and had lived in Brooksville, Florida for thirty years.
Surviving are Husband, Harry C. Downing, Sr. of Auburn, Georgia, Children, Harry C. Downing, Jr., of Spring Hill, Florida, Nancy Maguire of Auburn, Georgia and Cheryl Mellish of Pinellas Park, Florida, Three Grandchildren and Two Great Grandchildren.
A Gathering and Memorial Service will be held Saturday, October 24, 2015 from 1-3 P. M. at Carter Funeral Home. The Family requests that flowers please be omitted and memorials please be made to The Arthritis Foundation, 1330 West Peachtree Street, Atlanta, Georgia 30309-2943.
