Ms. Martha Jean Hooten Peppers, age 80, of Athens, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 14, 2024, at her residence.
Ms. Peppers was a homemaker throughout her life. She was preceded in death by her parents; Hester and Snowdell Hooten; and siblings, Betty McCoy, Retha Hardigree Adams, Mattie Brown, Charles Hooten, and Thomas Hooten.
Ms. Peppers is survived by her sons; Frank Davis Jr. of Athens and Allen Davis (Lloyd Bondurant) of St. Cloud, Fl.; granddaughter, Marlena (Ricky) Daniels of Arcade; and great-grandchildren, Austin, Caitlin, and Payton Daniels.
No formal services are planned at this time.
Carter Funeral Home, Winder, is entrusted with the arrangements.
