Mr. Melvin Douglas Cash, age 78, of Hoschton, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 27, 2023.
Mr. Cash was a master mechanic by trade and was the owner of CRC Auto Parts. Melvin enjoyed fishing, hunting, and antique cars. He will be best remembered by his family as a loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather.
Mr. Cash was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Cash and Rosebell Mealer Cash; and brother Larry Cash.
Mr. Cash is survived by his beloved wife, Linda Joyce Adams Cash; daughter and son-in-law, Melinda (Mike) Simonton; grandchild, Lex Simonton; and siblings, Sue Payne, Bobby (Audrey) Cash, Paul Cash Jr., Marvin Lee Cash, Wilma (Sonny) Rainwater, Brenda (Mike) Hope, Clifford (Cindy) Cash, and Connie Bray; along with a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
The family of Mr. Cash will be receiving friends on, Friday, November 17, 2023, his 79th birthday, from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM in the Stateroom of Carter Funeral Home. No formal service will be held. Burial will follow at 1:00 PM at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Duluth, Georgia.
The family respectfully request in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Hospice of Northeast Georgia Medical Center at https://www.nghs.com/foundation/hospice/ for the loving and compassionate care that they provided to Melvin and his family.
Carter Funeral Home, Winder, is entrusted with the arrangements.
