Merritt Hill

Mr. Merritt Hill, age 83, of Winder, Georgia died August 16, 2011. A native of Bishop, Georgia he was the son of the late George and Lollie Maxey Hill. He was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey Roberts Hill and sister, Mary Frances Brown. He had resided in Barrow County for the past sixty years. Mr. Hill was a retired sewing machine mechanic with Georgia Sportswear.

Surviving are Son, Stanley Hill, Daughter & Son-in-law – Debbie and Dennis Lee all of Winder, Grandchildren, Brian Lee of Atlanta and Mandy Lee of Augusta, Sister & Brother-in-law – Ann & Neal Lord of Bishop, Sisters-in-law & Brother-in-law, Faye Roberts of Monroe, Virlyn & Louise Roberts of Apopka, Florida and Shirley Wyatt of Hiram, and a host of nieces & nephews.

A Funeral Service was held Friday, August 19, 2011 at 2:00 P. M. from the Chapel of Carter Funeral Home with Rev. Doug Stroup officiating. Interment was in Barrow Memorial Gardens.
