Mike Simpkins, 56, of Statham passed away Friday, August 7, 2026. 

Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at Maddox Memorial Home from 6 PM until 8 PM. 

Mr. Simpkins was born December 10, 1969, in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Junior Simpkins & Betty Louise Murphy Simpkins. He worked with Wayne Sanderson Hatchery in the packaging department. He was a dedicated employee and always showed up and had a great work ethic. Mr. Simpkins loved his family dearly, including his son, Josh, who was the light of his world. One of Mike's favorite memories was racing go-karts with his son.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Joni Simpkins; son, Josh Simpkins; siblings, Casey Simpkins & Trish, Lisa Simpkins, and Brenda Simpkins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Newlen.

Maddox Memorial Home, Winder, is entrusted with the arrangements.
