Mr. Alfred Guy Dunagan Jr.

Mr. Alfred Guy Dunagan, Jr., age 79, of Statham, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, surrounded by his family, at his residence.

Mr. Dunagan was a dedicated member of Union Baptist Church where he was actively involved. He retired from Gwinnett County as a heavy equipment operator. Alfred was an avid outdoorsman that loved camping and fishing. He will be remembered best as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

Alfred was preceded in death by his son, Tim Dunagan; parents, Alfred Guy Dunagan Sr. and Alma Passmore Dunagan; and siblings, Leon Dunagan, Howard Dunagan, Danny Dunagan, Elizabeth Holman, Jeanette Holman, and Linda Phrampus.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Judy Foster Dunagan of Statham; daughter, Tracy (Shea) Miller of Winder; five grandchildren, Dustin (Adrienne) Dunagan, Drew (Bre) Dunagan, Jessica (Ryan) Youngson, Dawson (Nancy) Miller, and Anna Miller; five great-grandchildren, Joel Dunagan, Ellie Dunagan, Margaret Dunagan, Faith Youngson, and Georgia Youngson.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 4:00 PM on Sunday, April 12, 2026 in the Chapel of Maddox Memorial Home with Rev. Jon Reed officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 12, from 2:00 PM until the service hour at Maddox Memorial Home.
