Mr. Almond Eugene Hogan, age 90, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully at his residence, that he loved so dearly, on Saturday, August 30, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Almond retired from the Barrow Manufacturing Plant as a shipping clerk and was a member of Bethlehem Church. Almond had a joyous spirit and loved to make people laugh. He faced many health issues but fought them courageously until his passing.
Mr. Hogan was preceded in death by his youngest son, Kevin Hogan; brother, Jim Hogan; and sister, Myrtle Hogan Austin.
Mr. Hogan is survived by his devoted wife of seventy-one years, Joyce Autry Hogan; sons, Gary (Cristin) Hogan and Ricky (Yvonne) Hogan; grandchildren, Alison, Matt, and Jeremy Hogan; five great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.
The funeral service honoring the life of Mr. Almond Hogan will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, September 3, 2025 in the Chapel of Maddox-Carter Memorial Home with Rev. Mike Peavy officiating. Burial will follow the service at Barrow Memorial Gardens. The family will be receiving friends on Wednesday, September 3, 2025 from 12:00 PM until the service hour at Maddox-Carter Memorial Home.
The family respectfully request, in lieu of flowers, donations be made in his memory to the Bethlehem Church at 985 Hog Mountain Rd, Winder, GA 30680.
