Mr. Bobby Woody

Mr. Bobby Woody, age 95, died Thursday, February 19, 2026 at Walden’s Cove Personal Care Home in Jefferson, Georgia.

He was born April 18, 1930, in Texas to Archie Gilmore Woody and Vera Enid Landers Woody. He was preceded in death by his wives, Betty Ruth Woody and Mary Jo Woody; son, Billy Dean Woody; daughter-in-law, Betty Marie Woody; brothers, Glenn Ford Woody, Tommy Gene Woody, and Billy Joe Woody. 

Mr. Woody was a veteran of the United States Navy where he served on the USS Wright Aircraft Carrier for four years. He was active in CB radio for many years and retired from TVA as a pipefitter. Bobby was very active in his church and frequently traveled overseas on mission trips.

He is survived by his sons, Bobby Eugene Woody, Jr. and Kenneth Patrick Woody (Marcella); stepchildren, Vicki Lawrence, Lisa Burnside, and Woody Lawrence; brother, Kenneth Mitchell (Joy); sister-in-law, Marjorie Woody; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and extended family.

Burial will be at Clardy Family Cemetery in Hillsboro, Alabama.

Maddox Memorial Home, Winder, is entrusted with the local arrangements.
