Mr. David Fincher

Mr. David Fincher, age 73, of Winder, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 2, 2026, at his residence.

Mr. Fincher retired from AT&T and later in life found joy in cutting grass for fellow friends and neighbors. David loved being outside and working in the yard. He was also an avid NASCAR fan. David was a member of Midway Christian Church.

David was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Willie "PeeWee" Fincher and Essie Lou Wilson Fincher; daughter, Jane Fincher; brother, Eddie Fincher; and great-grandchild, Josie Lester.

Mr. Fincher is survived by his devoted wife of thirty-eight years, Louisa Miller Fincher of Winder; children, Julie (Johnny) Martin of Winterville, Victoria (Charley) Fincher of Winder, Joshua (Shauna) Fincher of Winder, and Damon Fincher of Winder; brother, Richard (Marty) Fincher of Statham; nine grandchildren, R.J. Bailey, Junior Bailey, Edna Carolyn Bailey, Emma Grace Fincher, Mallory Fincher, Lorelei Fincher, Calvin Fincher, Avery Fincher, and Emery Fincher, two great-grandchildren, Devon Bailey and T'Challa Lester.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, January 5, 2026 in the Chapel of Maddox Memorial Home with Rev. John Burchfield officiating. Burial will follow the service at Chapel Christian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday from 12:00 PM until the service hour at Maddox Memorial Home.
