Mr. Dustin Scott Scarbro

Mr. Dustin Scott Scarbro, age 27, of Royston, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 21, 2026. 

He was born on December 26, 1998; Dustin lived a life marked by resilience, kindness, and a passion for the simple pleasures that brought him joy.

A proud graduate of Franklin County High School’s Class of 2018, Dustin was a remarkable individual who faced life's obstacles with unwavering strength and a generous heart. Those who knew him often described him as smart, sweet, and simple—a combination that made him truly one of a kind.

He was an avid motorcycle rider who loved nothing more than riding in the wind. His loyal furry companion, Sadie, was a beloved presence in his life. Throughout his life, Dustin overcame a lot of challenges and remained steadfast in his willingness to help others, always ready to lend a hand or offer support in any way he could. His genuine nature and selflessness left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege to know him.

Dustin was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Timmy Adams and Roger Scarbro.

He is survived by his mother, Sarah (Richard) Williamson of Royston; father, Jeffery Scott Scarbro of McDonough; sisters, Kelly Scarbro of Royston and Summer Edgcombe of Royston; step-brother, David (Micheal) Williamson of Augusta; grandmothers, Gloria (Bud) Hylton of Winder and Wyvonne Scarbro of McDonough; nieces and nephews, Brayden Scarbro, Benjamin Scarbro, Ava Thomas, Nora Thomas, Kenleigh Edgcombe, Brentley Williamson, and Oliver Williamson; along with a host of extended family and friends.  

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 25, 2026 in the Chapel of Maddox Memorial Home with Pastor Vander Etheridge officiating. Burial will follow the service at Sorrells Spring Church Cemetery in Monroe. The family will receive friends on Friday, April 24, 2026 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Maddox Memorial Home.
