Mr. Edward F. Curott, Sr., age 79, of Winder, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 13, 2026, surrounded by his family, at his residence.

Mr. Curott wore many uniforms, each representing his deep passion for public service. He faithfully served in the United States Navy. Throughout his career, Mr. Curott worked in law enforcement, was a paramedic and also a firefighter. His dedication, professionalism, and compassion touched the lives of countless individuals throughout his years of service. Mr. Curott concluded his law enforcement career with the Barrow County Sheriff's Department as a Deputy Sheriff. He earned the respect and admiration of his fellow deputies, first responders, and the community he so proudly served. 

Ed loved working, restoring, and building classic muscle cars. He was also a talented electrician; he owned C and T Electric Company. He will be remembered best as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. 

Mr. Curott was preceded in death by his parents, Lional Lewis Curott and Mazie Margaret Curott; and sisters, Jane Johnson and Robin Thompson. 

He is survived by his devoted wife of 58 years, Colleen Roberds Curott of Winder; sons, Ed (Michelle) Curott, Jr. of Pensacola, FL and Rob (April) Curott of Winder; brother, Jimmy Stone of Fairburn; sister, Donna Sandspree of Metairie; seven grandchildren, Megan Deason, Kyle Curott, Steven Churchill, Kalyn Price, Sarah Huff, Grayson Curott, and Collier Curott; and seven great-grandchildren, Cooper Price, Scarlett Price, Averie Huff, Adylee Huff, Rylan Huff, Adrian Deason, and Madelyn Deason. 

Per the request of Mr. Curott, a private family service will be held in Winder.
