Mr. Herschel Glenn McDaniel

Mr. Herschel Glenn McDaniel, age 90, of Jefferson, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 12, 2026, surrounded by his loving family, at his residence. 

Mr. McDaniel retired as an automotive mechanic with Ford Motor Company. He attended Faith Baptist Church in Jefferson. 

Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, Herschel Andrew McDaniel and Lucille Davis McDaniel; along with a host of brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his devoted wife of seventy-two years, Mary Waters McDaniel of Jefferson; daughter, Lynne (Brian) Treadwell of Loganville; and sister, Jeanette Skelton of Winder. 

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 in the Chapel of Maddox Memorial Home with Rev. Stephen Burrell and Rev. Jack Lawson officiating. Burial will follow the service at Hill Haven Memory Gardens in Monroe. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 14, from 10:00 AM until the service hour at Maddox Memorial Home. 

Flowers are accepted for the funeral service of Mr. McDaniel.
