Mr. Joel "Skinny" Greeson

Mr. Joel "Skinny" Greeson, age 91, of Winder, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at his residence. 

Mr. Greeson was a member of Union Baptist Church. Throughout his career, Skinny was a hardworking man that operated heavy equipment. He will be remembered best as a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and great-grandfather. 

Skinny was preceded in death by his loving wife, Carol "MawMaw" Day Greeson; sons, Dana Greeson and Elmer Greeson; parents, Marion and Mammie Payne Greeson; and siblings, Rosena McDaniel, Nub Greeson, Shirley McDaniel, and Pat Benningfield. 

He is survived by his children, David Greeson, Debbie Martin, and Doug Greeson; daughter-in-law, Cheryl Greeson; eleven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. 

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 21, 2026 in the Chapel of Maddox Memorial Home with Mr. Jeff Morley officiating. Burial will follow the service at Barrow Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 21, 2026 from 12:00 PM until the service hour at Maddox Memorial Home. 

Flowers are accepted for the funeral service of Mr. Greeson.
