Mr. John "Johnny" Fleeman, age 84, of Winder, passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2026, surrounded by his loving family, at Mulberry Grove Assisted Living.
Johnny was well known in the Winder community as the co-owner and farmer of Fleeman's U-Pick Blueberry Farm. He enjoyed seeing families spending time on the farm picking blueberries and making memories with one another. Mr. Fleeman was a devoted member of Bethlehem First united Methodist Church. He served as the former President of the Methodist Men's Group.
He was a graduate of the University of Georgia where he received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. Throughout his life, he remained an avid UGA bulldog's fan. Johnny also loved being in the outdoors and deer hunting.
Johnny's family was very important to him. He will be remembered best as a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend.
Mr. Fleeman was preceded in death by his son, John Eric Fleeman; and parents, Goodman and Agnes Pharr Fleeman.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Brenda Gayle Fleeman of Winder; son, Sean (Kimberly) Fleeman of Winder; daughter, Faith (Michael) Stephens of Madison, AL; sister, Shirley Mobley of Winder; and two grandchildren, Hope Stephens and Lucy Stephens both of Madison, AL.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, April 10, 2026 at Bethlehem First United Methodist Church with Rev. Richard Ussery officiating. Burial will follow the service at Barrow Memorial Gardens. Mr. Fleeman will Lie-In-State at Bethlehem First United Methodist Church from 1:00 PM until the service hour on Friday.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 9, 2026 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Maddox Memorial Home.
Flowers are accepted for the funeral service of Mr. Fleeman.
