Mr. Jorge Erasmo Ascunce, age 80, of Winder, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 26, 2026, surrounded by his family, at his residence.

Jorge Erasmo Ascunce was a devoted husband, father, brother, and faithful servant of God. A dedicated member of St. Matthew Catholic Church, Jorge’s faith was at the center of his life and was reflected in the way he loved and served others. Jorge had a special heart for those in need. For more than 25 years, he faithfully served the poor through his involvement with the Society of St. Vincent de Paul. His compassion, generosity, and willingness to help others were a true reflection of his Christian faith.

A talented artist and accomplished tennis player, Jorge enjoyed expressing his creativity and staying active. Above all, he genuinely loved people. His warm personality, caring spirit, and love for others made him well loved by his family, friends, church family.

Jorge will be remembered for his unwavering faith, his servant’s heart, his many talents, and the love and devotion he showed to his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Kelly Green; and siblings, Diego, Ramon, and Charles Ascunce.

Jorge is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Kathy Camp Ascunce; son, Jorge Eduardo Ascunce of Cumming; and sister, Gloria Martinez of France.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 16, 2026 at St. Matthew's Catholic Church with Father Martin Connor, LC officiating. A priavte burial will take place at Honey Creek Woodlands Cemetery in Conyers.

The family will receieve friends on Thursday, October 15, 2026 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Maddox Memorial Home. A rosary service will take place.
