Mr. Kevin James Horton, age 51, of Winder, passed away on Wednesday, August 12, 2026 at his residence. He was born on November 7, 1974.

Kevin was a true "old soul" known for his gentle and loving nature. He was a deeply devoted son who anchored his life in his faith. He loved Jesus, read his Bible every single day, and lived with a quiet, steadfast devotion. Outside of his faith, Kevin had a passion for the classic design and craftsmanship of 1960s cars.

He is survived by his mother, Candace Evers Horton; his sister, Donna Early, and her husband, Steve; his step-siblings, Sheryl Horton, James Horton Jr., and Allen Horton, as well as his aunt, Lee Ann Capasse. 

Kevin was preceded in death by his father, James Leonard Horton.

There will be no formal services for Mr. Horton.

Maddox Memorial Home, Winder, is entrusted with the arrangements.
