Mr. Michael Joseph Adams, age 81, originally from Bronx, NY, now residing in Loganville, GA, passed away on Saturday, July 4, 2026.

He retired as a law enforcement officer with the New York Police Department. Michael also served the United States faithfully in the Army.

Mr. Adams was preceded in death by his parents, Michael George Adams and Eileen Kavanagh Adams.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 59 years, Patricia Fitzsimmons Adams (Bronx, NY) Loganville, GA; children, Michael Adams of Grayson and Jennifer Adams Cassidy of Loganville; siblings, Brian Adams, Eileen Reynolds, and Johnny Adams; four grandchildren, Taryn (Jermaine) Donaldson, Michael “Mikey” Adams, Collin Cassidy, and Stephanie Adams; and three great-grandchildren, Stephan, Teara, and Jayana Donaldson, and his Grandson-in-law, Jermaine Donaldson.

He was a loving Father and helped raise his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He loved his family, friends and never met a stranger. His last years were enjoyed by spending time with his great-grandchildren. He was well known and loved by many. His wit, sarcasm and huge heart made him special to everyone he met. He will be irreplaceable on Earth and warmly welcomed in Heaven.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM until 4:00 PM on Saturday, July 11, 2026 in the Chapel of Maddox Memorial Home with Rev. John Burchfield officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 11, from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM prior to the service.

Flowers are accepted for the memorial service.
