Mr. Richard "Rick" Ernest O’Kelly, age 80, of Buford, GA, entered into the presence of the Lord, surrounded by his family on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at his home. He was born on June 11, 1946, to Miriam Elizabeth O’Kelly and Robert Lee O’Kelly.

Rick grew up in Winder, GA and graduated from Winder-Barrow High School in 1965, and he served the United States honorably in the Air Force. He was a member of Ivy Creek Baptist Church in Buford.

Rick retired from NCR Corporation after 43 years, gaining recognition for his strong work ethic and commitment. His willingness to share knowledge and insights was highly valued by colleagues.

Rick was a sport enthusiast. He loved golfing, fishing, and hunting. In his younger years, he also enjoyed playing tennis and snow skiing. He was an avid football fan of the Georgia Bulldogs.

Rick cherished his family and friends. His generous nature, optimistic outlook, and remarkable dedication to those he loved were apparent throughout his life. He will be profoundly missed; his love and legacy will forever remain in our hearts.

Rick will be loving remembered by his wife, Deb; his daughters, Vicki (Lenny) Davis, Cindy Johnson, Laura (Marcus) Crews; son, Jason; brother, Bob O’Kelly. He is survived by his grandchildren, Cory (Sarah) Davis, Caty (Yvan) Serrano, T J Johnson, Josh (Tori) Johnson, Payton O’Kelly, David Lusk, Jesse Crews and 10 great grandchildren. Also, he leaves behind numerous brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, and countless friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at Maddox Memorial Home. The memorial service will follow at 2:00 PM, Saturday, July 25, 2026, in the Chapel of Maddox Memorial Home with Rev. Rick Milner officiating.
