Mrs. Alice Dykes Gilley

Mrs. Alice Dykes Gilley, age 77, of Winder, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 12, 2025.

Alice had a unique flair for fashion. Her love for hair and nails was evident in the way she presented herself to the world—meticulously crafted to perfection. From her stylish outfits to her collection of flashy jewelry, she took great joy in her clothing and jewelry collection.

Alice was also a beloved friend to many. She will be remembered for her charismatic charm and the heartwarming moments she shared with family and friends. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Mrs. Gilley was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church.

Mrs. Gilley was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Marion Junior Gilley; daughter, Regina Dickson; parents, Taft Dykes and Gladys Cole Dykes; and her three brothers, James, Harvey, and William Dykes.

She is survived by her daughter, Marla (Homer) Smith; son, Scott Gilley; five grandchildren, Jessica (Jeremy) Duren, Chris (Kristen) Gilley, Natasha (Tim) McCord, Jason (Jeannie) Dickson, and Kenny (Kimberly) Gilley; along with a host of great-grandchildren. 

The funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 16, 2025 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Maddox-Carter Memorial Home with Brother Kevin Page officiating. Burial will follow the service at Collins Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Lawrenceville. The family will recieve friends on Sunday, November 16, 2025 from 1:00 PM until the service hour at Maddox-Carter Memorial Home. 

Flowers are accepted for the funeral service of Mrs. Gilley.
