Mrs. Audrey Mae Frost Hunter

Mrs. Audrey Mae Frost Hunter, age 103, of Winder, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 23, 2025.

Born on July 12, 1922, in Winder, Audrey was the daughter of Luther and Lola Frost and remained a lifelong resident of the community she dearly loved. She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, E. Hubert Hunter; and her son, Terry Lee Hunter.

Audrey is survived by her son, Hubert Samuel Hunter (Marshia); her grandchildren, Dana Hunter House (Michael) and Gabe Hunter (Laurie); and her cherished great-grandchildren, Cassidy Hunter Wilson (Tyson), Chase Hunter, Callie Mae Hunter, Brady House, and Brooks House. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren all lovingly knew and called her “Granny,” a name that reflected the warmth, care, and love she shared so freely.

Audrey was the only daughter among four brothers, a role she carried with strength, grace, and determination throughout her life. A devoted member of Midway Christian Church, her faith guided her life. She loved the outdoors and found great joy working in her garden. For many years, she could be found cracking and picking pecans by hand—continuing until her hands could no longer do the work. She took great pride in her small Christmas pecan business, which became a cherished tradition and a reflection of her strong work ethic and generous spirit.

Audrey lived an extraordinary 103 years, sharing wisdom, kindness, and love with all she encountered. Her life was a testament to faith, resilience, and devotion to family, and her legacy will be treasured for generations to come.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, December 26, 2025 at Midway Christian Church with Mr. Steven Rogers officiating. Burial will follow the service in the Midway Christian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 26, 2025, from 1:00 PM until the service hour at Midway Christian Church.
