Mrs. Cynthia Caples Norman, age 78, of Winder, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at her residence.
Mrs. Norman was a native of Brunswick, Georgia. She retired from the Social Security Administration. After retirement, she enjoyed making various crafts and artwork that she sold at craft shows throughout the southeastern United States. Cynthia also enjoyed working estate sales in the community where she would often find unique items to add to her collection of valuables and antiques. Cynthia was a service-oriented person that loved putting others before herself. She was a devoted member of Winder First United Methodist Church. Mrs. Norman will be remembered best as a loving wife, mother, sister, Mimi, and friend.
Mrs. Norman was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin Wilson Caples and Ruth Osborne Caples; and siblings, Jon Caples and Donna Caples.
Mrs. Norman is survived by her husband of fifty-two years, Warren Alexander Norman of Winder; daughters, Delia Deen of Brunswick, Alexis (Matthew) Ramp of Brunswick, and Brooke (David) Garrett of Winder; sister, Barbara Caples of Brunswick; and six grandchildren, Harlin Brown, Emmaline Ramp, Isabella Ramp, Trey Garrett, Tyreeck Hall, and Levi Garrett.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, April 21, 2025 in the Chapel of Maddox-Carter Memorial Home with Dr. Geoffrey Murphy officiating. The family will be receiving friends on Monday from 10:00 AM until the service hour at Maddox-Carter Memorial Home.
Mrs. Norman will be laid to rest at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church Columbarium in Brunswick, Georgia.
Per the request of Mrs. Norman, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Winder First United Methodist Church at 280 N Broad St, Winder, GA 30680 or St. Mark’s Episcopal Church at 900 Gloucester St, Brunswick, GA 31520.
