Mrs. Delores "Dalo" Chapman

Mrs. Delores “Dalo” Chapman, age 88, of Winder, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at The Landing of Winder.

Mrs. Chapman was a member of the Winder First United Methodist Church. She was a dedicated nurse throughout her career. Delores was the head emergency room nurse at University Hospital in Augusta and later served as a home health care nurse at St. Joesph Hospital in Augusta. She lived the life of an Army wife, often traveling the world, while her husband served in the military. Delores will be remembered best as a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother.

Mrs. Chapman was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond L. Chapman; son, Darin H. Chapman; parents, Orville Jones and Helen Crichton Jones; and sisters, Norma Gilbert and Betty London.

Mrs. Chapman is survived by her son, Dr. Kevin (Sue Watkins) Chapman of Winder, and grandson, Noah (Mary) Chapman of Chamblee.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Westover Memorial Park in Augusta, Georgia. The family will be receiving friends on Friday, May 16, 2025, from 5:30 PM until 8:00 PM at Maddox-Carter Memorial Home.
