Mrs. Elaine Johnson Smith, age 81, of Winder, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 2, 2025.
Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-nine years, Jimmy Smith; and parents, Jack Johnson and Agnes Huff Johnson.
Mrs. Smith is survived by her son, Chris (Beth) Smith of Elberton; daughter, Melynda (Grady) Maddox of Winder; grandchildren, Kristen (Clay) Dye of Evans, Abby Johnson of Kennesaw, Jacob (Tori) Maddox of Seneca, Dalton Maddox of Winder; and two great- grandchildren, Brand Johnson and Jackson Dye.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at Barrow Memorial Gardens with Rev. Benji Boone officiating. The family will be receiving friends on Tuesday from 12:00 PM until 1:45 PM prior to the graveside service at Maddox-Carter Memorial Home.
Maddox-Carter Memorial Home, Winder, is entrusted with the arrangements.
