Mrs. Hazel Martin, age 95, of Braselton, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 18, 2026.

Mrs. Martin was a longtime member of Sharon Baptist Church. She retired as a seamstress and was a devoted homemaker who took great pride in caring for her family. Mrs. Martin enjoyed cooking and spending time with those she loved. She was known for her larger-than-life personality and the joy she brought to those around her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, J.C. Martin; daughter, Linda Yeary; parents, John and Myra Martin; and eleven siblings. 

Hazel is survived by her son, Rickey C. Martin of Jefferson; siblings, Gaynelle Wheeler of Braselton, Carolyn Martin of Gainesville, and Harold Dean Martin of Winder; three grandchildren, Brad Martin, Steven Martin, and Paul McDonald; six great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. 

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 24, 2026, in the Chapel of Maddox Memorial Home with Rev. Steve Baker officiating. Burial will follow the service at Bethabra Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 12:00 PM until the service hour at the funeral home. 

Flowers are accepted for the funeral service of Mrs. Martin.
