Mrs. Jacquelyn "Jackie" Leathers, age 65, of Winder, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 6, 2026, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.

Jackie was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who cherished her family above all else. She loved making precious memories with those she loved. She enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially feeding and watching the birds.

Mrs. Leathers found great joy in spending time outdoors tending to her garden. She had a special love for plants and flowers and took pride in nurturing and enjoying their beauty. Jackie was a Dakota Sioux from the Lake Traverse District in South Dakota, currently known as Sisseton Wahpeton Oyate. She was of the Christian faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, Matthew Wilson Leathers; parents, Frank Mundy and Loretta Starr Mundy; and siblings, Alan Mundy, David Mundy, and Lisa Mundy.

Jackie is survived by her daughters, Jenny (Scott) Bratcher, Carrie (Jonathan) Kennard, and Whitney (Gary Whitley) Leathers; sons, Jon Vennie, Ricky Vennie, and Kyle Leathers; grandchildren, Jordan Vennie, Rachel Vennie, Janna (James) Hanrahan, Kyleigh (Clay) Wheeler, Katelynn Bratcher, Lindsey Bratcher, and Edwin Kennard; great grandchildren, Mayla Hanrahan, Maylee Hanrahan, and Whitley Wheeler; and siblings, Julie Sims and Phil Mundy.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, November 10, 2026 in the Chapel of Maddox Memorial Home with Minister John Burchfield officiating. Burial will follow the service at Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, November 9, 2026 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Maddox Memorial Home.

The family respectfully request in lieu of flowers, donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
