Mrs. Joyce Kennedy House

Mrs. Joyce Kennedy House, age 77, of Winder, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 26, 2025, surrounded by her family.

She will be remembered best as a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother. 

Mrs. House was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Lewis House; parents, Jack Clinton Kennedy and Mary Harp Kennedy; and six brothers, Bill, Randolph, Gene, John, Danny, and Bobby Kennedy. 

Joyce is survived by her children; Terry (Jo) Cain of Buford, Tracey (Stoney) Byrd of Winder, and Michael (Dana) House of Winder; siblings, Francis Thomas of Winder, Shirley Kennedy of Winder, Patricia Reynolds of Winder, and Stanley Kennedy of Winder; six grandchildren, Kaleigh (Jonathan) Medford, Mandy (Barry) Chandler, Brandon (Brandi) Wilson, Allison Wilson, Brady House, and Brooks House; and four great-grandchildren, Collins Cain, Audrey Chandler, Ethan Chandler, and Madilyn Wilson. 

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, October 29, 2025 in the Chapel of Maddox-Carter Memorial Home with Pastor Heath Kennedy officiating. A private burial will follow the service at Chapel Christian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 29, 2025 from 1:00 PM until the service hour at Maddox-Carter Memorial Home.
