Mrs. LaFaye Philyaw Brock

Mrs. LaFaye Philyaw Brock, age 90, of Winder, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 5, 2025, at The Landing of Winder. 

Mrs. Brock attended Cedar Creek Baptist Church. She will be remembered best as a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother. 

Mrs. Brock was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Huey Lee Brock; son, William Ricky Brock; grandson, Nathan Brock; and parents, Rufus Philyaw and Maggie Freeman Philyaw. 

Mrs. Brock is survived by her grandson, Eric (Katie) Brock of Winder and granddaughter, Leslie Brock of Flowery Branch; and two great-grandchildren, Savannah and Everleigh Brock of Winder.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, May 12, 2025 at Barrow Memorial Gardens with Pastor Duke Forster officiating. The family will be receiving friends on Monday, May 12, 2025 from 10:00 AM until 10:45 AM prior to the graveside service at Maddox-Carter Memorial Home. 

Flowers are accepted for the graveside service of Mrs. Brock. 

Maddox-Carter Memorial Home, Winder, is entrusted with the arrangements.
