Mrs. Lorene Mathis House, age 77, of Winder, passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. 

Mrs. House was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Joe House; son, Bo House; and parents, Lorenzo Mathis and Ruth Minish Mathis

She is survived by her daughters, Susan (Billy) Millwood of Carnesville, Buffey (Scott) Smith of Winder, and Sally House of Winder; eight grandchildren, Billy Millwood, Mary Smith, Katie Millwood, Ben Millwood, Chris Millwood, Laila House, Savanna Hunt, and Haley Wilson; and two great-grandchildren, Cruz Barnett and Westin Hunt. 

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, August 14, 2026 in the Chapel of Maddox Memorial Home with Rev. John Burchfield officiating. Burial will follow the service at the House Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, from 1:00 PM until the service hour at Maddox Memorial Home.
