Mrs. Rosalie DeBarros Bailey

“Beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister & aunt”

Rosalie (DeBarros) Bailey, entered peacefully into the gates of Heaven on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at the age of 88. She was the loving wife of the late Woodrow Bailey.

Rosalie was born on April 30, 1938 in Waterbury CT to the late Henry J. and Rita (Tavares) DeBarros. She dedicated many years of service to the Uniroyal Company, where she was known for her hard work and dedication.

Rosalie cherished spending time with family and friends and enjoyed taking extended vacations to Atlanta Georgia and South Carolina to visit loved ones. In her younger years, Rosalie loved attending elegant social events such as the Elks Ball. She would often travel to New York in search of the perfect one-of-a-kind gown for that occasion.

Even in her later years she loved looking her best and wearing her favorite jewelry, along with having her nails and hair perfectly done. Thanksgiving was one of her favorite holidays where she enjoyed preparing her sweet potato pies to give to her family and friends.

Rosalie leaves behind her loving children, John DeBarros and wife Velda, Rita Snipes and husband Robert, David Williams and wife Candice, and Stephanie Berroa. She also leaves behind numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as her brother, Peter DeBarros, and sisters Adeline Almeida, Audry Carter and Caroline Silva Duarte.

She was preceded in death by her son Vincent DeBarros, her siblings Henry DeBarros Jr, John Joseph DeBarros, Barbara Andrews and her three grandchildren, Matthew Butler, Vincent DeBarros and Jordan Williams.

Rosalie will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her family and friends.
