Mrs. Sue Nobles Tomlin, age 78, of Buford, formerly of Greensboro and Lawrenceville, passed away peacefully in her residence on October 17, 2025. Born on September 9, 1947, Mrs. Tomlin dedicated her life to the service of others, embodying the qualities of a prayer warrior and a devoted family member.
Mrs. Tomlin retired as the chief administrator at the Georgia Christian Educators Association. Her leadership and dedication left a mark on the lives of her colleagues and students alike. As a member of the Bethel Baptist Church of Greensboro, she actively contributed to her community, a testament to her servant heart and her deep love for those around her.
Mrs. Tomlin was cherished by all who knew her. Her warm personality and kind spirit resonated throughout her family and circle of friends. She will be remembered for the love she had for her family and her unwavering faith. Sue was a known as a fierce prayer warrior and had a devoted servant's heart.
Sue was preceded in death by her husband, Jackie Paul Tomin; parents, Oscar Floyd Nobles and Sarah Lucille Quick Nobles; granddaughter, Allison Grace Tomlin; and brother-in-law, Steven Hurst.
Mrs. Tomlin is survived by her sons and their spouses; Robert "Bob" and Rhonda Tomlin of Winder, Michael and Christa Tomlin of Bethlehem, and Jonathan and Heather Tomlin of Auburn; daughter and her husband, Jacquelyn and Scott Browning of Buford; siblings, Sara Ann Nobles Hurst of Waco, TX, and Danny Ray and his wife Darlene Nobles of Waco, TX; sixteen grandchildren, Evan and his wife Cristen Tomlin, Austin Tomlin, Megan and her husband Cody Batten, Cameron and his wife Harley Tomlin, Logan Tomlin, Reagan Tomlin, Kathryn Tomlin, Patrick Tomlin, Genna Tomlin, Sean Tomlin, Hadley Tomlin, Carson Tomlin, Brett Tomlin, Holly Tomlin, Ashlyn Browning, and Tristan Browning; two great-grandchildren, Layla Batten and Leo Tomlin; and a host of extended family and friends.
A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday, October 23, 2025 at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery, 3981 Union Point Highway Greensboro, Georgia with Rev. Robert "Bobby" Tomlin, Pastor Gene Vaught, and Rev. Larry Youngblood officiating. Burial will follow the service. The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 23, 2025 from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Bethel Baptist Church.
