Mrs. Venia Hart Rice, age 84, of Loganville, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 8, 2026, at Mulberry Grove Assisted Living.

Venia Rice was a woman of the Baptist faith who cherished her family and the time spent with those she loved. She was devoted to her family, always finding joy in caring for others and making those around her feel special.

Mrs. Rice had a love for decorating and a special appreciation for fine china. She also enjoyed gardening and took great pride in the beauty of her flowers and surroundings.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Don Rice; son, Craig Rice; parents, Joe and Arvilla Hart; and siblings, Laverne Webb and Anderson Hart. 

Mrs. Rice is survived by her son, Michael (Vickie) Rice of Winder; step-son, Jackie Rice of VA; step-daughter, Teresa Rice of Covington; and five grandchildren, Anslee, Michael, Blake and Brody Rice, and Nicole Foley. 

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, October 12, 2026, at Haynes Creek Cemetery with Rev. John Burchfield officiating. Burial will follow the service. 

Flowers are accepted for the graveside service. 

Maddox Memorial Home, Winder, is entrusted with the arrangements.
