Ms. Dara Michele Stover, age 52, of Auburn, passed away peacefully at her residence on Friday, May 9, 2025, surrounded by her family.
Dara had a fulfilling career in medical coding. Beyond her career, Dara was known for her vibrant personality. She was a very happy individual who took great pride in being a big sister, nurturing a special bond with her brother Drew and his wife Brooke.
A devoted member of North Metro Baptist Church, Dara delighted in God's grace and found joy in her faith. Her spiritual life was a cornerstone of her existence and enriched not only her own life but the lives of those around her.
Dara had a deep love for dogs, which provided her with companionship and joy. She would often take in rescue dogs to give them a chance at a wonderful life. She also had a passion for music that transcended genres.
Dara is survived by her parents, Roger and Shari Wheeler Stover of Auburn; brother and sister-in-law, Drew (Brooke) Stover of Auburn; aunts Janis (Davis) Gravely of Auburn and Gail Stover Cool of Jefferson; along with numerous cousins, Wayne, Jeff, Cindy, Julie, Adria, and Caleb; and all of their children—all of whom she adored and cherished.
The funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, May 16, 2025, in the Chapel of Maddox-Carter Memorial Home with Dr. Landon Dowden officiating. A private family burial will follow the service at Barrow Memorial Gardens. The family will be receiving friends on Friday, May 16, 2025 from 12:00 PM until the service hour at Maddox-Carter Memorial Home.
