Ms. Elizabeth Stinchcomb Harris, affectionately known by all who loved her as "Mama Liz," age 79, of Winder, passed away on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at her residence.

A devoted woman of the Baptist faith, Mama Liz lived her life as a reflection of her Christian values. Her faith was the foundation upon which she built her life. Mama Liz was known for her loving heart, generous spirit, and caring nature. Above all, Mama Liz cherished her family. She faithfully instilled strong character and enduring principles through faith into her children and grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph Stinchcomb and Viola Dillard Stinchcomb; and siblings, Bobby Stinchcomb, Junior Stinchcomb, Jimmy Stinchcomb, Carole Chancey, and Glenda Casper. 

Ms. Harris is survived by her children, Beth (Randy) Garrett of Ellijay, Laura (Joey) Morris of Winder, and Amanda (Johnathan) Wilson of Winder; sisters, Judy (Max) Woodall of Canton and Mary (Ronnie) Austin of Gainesville; fourteen grandchildren, Joshua Garrett, Jacob Harris, Ethan Garrett, Justice Polson, Brittany Garrett, Joe Morris, Skylar Wilson, Ayddin Wilson, Jenna Harris, Rodney Morris, Rachel Morris, Ryan Morris, Cody Pike, and Lizzie Saxon; twenty-two great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren; along with a host of extended family and friends. 

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 18, 2026, in the Chapel of Maddox Memorial Home with Rev. Joey Morris officiating. Burial will follow the service at Barrow Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 17, 2026, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Maddox Memorial Home.

Flowers are accepted for the funeral service.
